Parkwood Ballfields Restoration
How do you use visual branding to inspire support for a Habitat for Humanity project?
The Nashville division of Habitat for Humanity is seeking to restore Parkwood Ballfields in 2023. Along with the ballfields restoration, they also plan to build a dedicated green space and over twenty affordable housing units.
Project renderings

To reach their donor support goal, their team knew they would need a campaign and visuals to get people (everyday people as well as investors) excited about the project.
As lead designer of the project, this is where I came in.
My concept for the campaign focused on two major aspects of Parkwood: it's rich history of championships and inclusion of Black players + the positive influence of the ballfields on the hundreds of Black kids that use them today.
Campaign visual system + story

Blue and orange pay homage to the original team colors while newspaper trimmings and halftones also call back to the era Parkwood was founded (late 60s).

Campaign posters

The hand-drawn orange accents are intended to capture the youthful energy of the kids the restoration of the ballfields would directly benefit.
